Saying "thank you",
giving back to Kazakhstan
So many adoptive parents want to say "thank you" to Kazakhstan through Project Sunshine.
Kollene Lukuch, Kazakhstan Program Director took their donations and
those provided through EAC and did
what she was asked to do: GO SHOPPING!
"First, many parents and
Tatiana and Margaret Cole asked that we buy toys. Yes! one for
everyone. And look at their faces, and look at the colorful trucks and
soft toys I was able to purchase
and donations and pass out to the toddlers in Kazakhstan!
To the Older orphans,
congratulations!
Then,
because EAC help the Gulder Foundation establish the scholarship
foundation for the older children, we bought funds for the winners
next year of study. All of these older orphans are part of a pilot
project. While we cannot count the thousands of dollars the agency and
parents donate as part of Project Sunshine, we can count the gratitude
from these older children who lived their lives in orphanages in
Kazakhstan.
Picture here are both
college scholarship and university scholarship winners. The courses
they are studying range from engineering and English to medicine, and
computer science.
The Medical and
health supplies delivered...
Look at this! Lab coats
for the orphanage staff and stethoscopes for the physicians and
medical teams in Kazakhstan! A van
filled with nearly 60 coats of all sizes and colors for 6-year olds to
10 year olds that were donated personally by Margaret Cole and Lucile
Cole.
The babies need clean
clothes. Thanks to Project Sunshine and so many loving parents, it's
happening every day now with new washing machines in Almaty Baby House
Number 1.
Hello Kazakhstan!
So you're ready to adopt but we need to
contact the orphanage where your child is being adopted from
......thanks again to our wonderful donors who purchased the tools
that allow communications to move more swiftly and conveniently
between the adoption center and the orphanages.
We can fax and copy documents, moving the little ones into waiting
arms a little faster, and making certain that our communication is
24/7 with Kazakhstan.
Night Night
Project
Sunshine joined their contributions with the Gulder Foundation and now
infants and toddlers in Karakastek have new an comfy beds.
In Kazakhstan, we have
been sending coats, winter shoes, hats, boots. So much more is
needed for the cold days when the older children leave the orphanage
to attend school.
We also want to send more vitamins and antibiotics to help the
children through these months ahead.
The orphans in Kazakhstan have enjoyed the generosity of adoptive
parents through gifts that are providing medicines and food.
We have also been able to meet with several of the older children who
have spent their childhood in orphanages and now as older teens, want
to continue their education through university or technical school
studies. Our support is helping them achieve their dreams!
